22nd October 2024:
We had a truly marvelous stay with Fae and Marcus in their lovely home, well situated with beautiful views from every window. My friend and I came to take walks over the Isle of Mull and left with a full appreciation of the history, culture and natural beauty of the place because of our contact with Fae and Marcus. Their authentic B&B is spotlessly clean, the rooms charmingly furnished, breakfasts perfectly prepared by Fae. We will be back!

Stunning house and gardens in fabulous location. Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Marcus and Fae were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. We will definitely stay here again when we return to mull.
Tips:Following a recommendation by Fae, set aside a day to explore the isle of Ulva it is simply stunning.

What can I say? What a real gem of a place. And what a glorious location; unparalleled views from the breakfast table, serenely quiet and well situated to explore the island. We love period properties and both the exterior and interior of Glenaros didn't disappoint. It was so comfortable, warm and inviting. Fae provided a great breakfast and local knowledge, whilst Marcus proved to be a lovely host (and worked hard to improve the track up to the house!). The suite was very tastefully done and in keeping with the character property, whilst the large ensuite had all the necessary mod-cons, including a rain shower. There was a lovely warm & cosy sitting room for guests to enjoy, topped off by rather nice malt whisky with Marcus (Sláinte!). Parking was easy and there's even an electric vehicle charging point if needed. All in all a perfect place to stay, which will make a beeline for should we visit Mull again.
Tips:It's worth exploring the local area.

Glenaros Lodge is the perfect peaceful spot from which to explore the island of Mull. Fae and Marcus are fantastic hosts who have created a charming, welcoming home from home. The bedrooms are spotless, beautifully decorated and furnished; and the breakfast a real feast. And the huge gardens offer plenty of benches and seating from which to look out over the amazing sea views.

Beautiful views from the property. It was very clean, hosts friendly. Had a lovely dog called Meg. The only downside, I would say, is a better sign at foot of road up to Lodge and the road up isn't the best.

Fabulous location with stunning views. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Scones to die for with a very welcome cup of tea, a nice touch, as was the evening glass of wine. Thank you. The whole experience was delightful.
Tips:Roads narrow and hazardous. Sign to the Lodge not easy to spot so drive with care and keep a look out. Very comfortable beds with high quality linen. A delightful house, tastefully decorated and with every comfort. Only one double en suite room but house bathroom very proximate to the twin room. Definitely worth a visit, we would return and recommend.

Our hosts were lovely. I only met Fae but she was friendly and very helpful. My Mum spoke with Marcus on the phone and he went out of his way to help with a small problem we were having. They are wonderful hosts and I completely recommend their beautiful home.
Tips:Glenaros Lodge was in the perfect spot for travelling up and down the Island. There were food places and a small shop near by and it was a straight forward drive to Tobermory. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay with Fae and Marcus. The house and location are full of character, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. We had the large twin room, with great views of the bay, and very comfortable beds. We appreciated all the extra little touches, like the high quality local foods. The hosts were a great source of information about the island, including walks and places to visit.
Tips:We took a boat tour to the Treshnish islands with Turus Mara (the company Marcus suggested). Cannot recommend it highly enough if you are a puffin lover!

Our stay at Glenaros Lodge was a dream come true. The owner, Fae & Marcus were super lovely and helped where ever they could. The breakfast was extra ordinary and prepared with love. The location and scenery was one of its kind. Surely not our last stay at the Lodge!
Tips:- book ferry in advance - an own car helps a lot getting to know the island - especially the scenery on the way to Fionnphort and the boat trip to Staffa was a blast

Glenaros Lodge is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. Breakfast was excellent, the beds are very comfortable, the living room & dining room were kept toasty warm with wood burning stoves, and our welcome was warm & homely too.
Tips:This was a lovely place to be so if the weather isn’t great, it’s the perfect place to curl up with a book or a film or a game & just enjoy the space.

A really warm welcome and a very sociable stay. Breakfasts generous and taken in a lovely room with view. Though we did not make great use of the lounge, this another fine room with lots of reading options. Nice large bedroom with again fine views. The house overall characterful, the very large garden a work in progress which we would love to re-visit. Fae’s art inspiring and generous of her to share her experiences.

A wonderful welcome to a B&B in a stunning location. Fae and Marcus made our stay an absolute pleasure. They provided lots of helpful information about Mull, the best we have seen anywhere. Nothing was too much trouble. We got to eat the lovely breakfast with a stunning view across their garden, over the water to Aros Castle. The car charger was a big bonus for us, as charging each night gave us the freedom of the island. We would definitely return if we visit Mull again. Delightful.
Tips:Don't miss this loverly B&B.

Tips:Glenaros Lodge is in a great central location for exploring the whole of Mull. Great breakfasts to start the day, locally the Coffee Pot sell superb food for taking with you on day trips. It's also easy to reach Tobermoray for evening meals.

I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The house is perfectly located and has stunning views over the bay. Faye looked after us very well and helped us have a very enjoyable, busy few days on the Isle of Mull.
Tips:A day on the Isle of Iona and another day on a wildlife cruise around the islands are wonderful.

It might be useful to have a printed list of breakfast options The hosts are lovely people and the house is immaculately decorated including Fay:s own artwork. Our room was lovely and warm and the cast iron bath very welcome after a day of wind and rain.
